Job Title: TB / HIV Cascade Monitor
Locations: Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Cross River, Kaduna, Kano and Katsina
Job Type: Full-time
Purpose of the Job
- The TB/HIV cascade monitor will support engaged community-based organizations (CBOs) in supported states to optimize community TB case finding and management, as well as diagnosis of HIV among pregnant women from the community and linkage to care.
- The TB/HIV cascade monitor will also supervise the decentralized management of DRTB patients receiving care in the community.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct supportive supervisory visits to the CBOs to review their documentation to ascertain the presumptive and positive TB/HIV cases in their registers.
- Conduct visits to the DOTS sites and Laboratory facilities to verify presumptive and diagnosed TB/HIV cases from the community/CBO in the facility and lab registers.
- Ensure that all the diagnosed TB/HIV cases from the community are also in the LGA register and receiving treatment
- Collate the verified results from the CBOs and report to the KNCV program officer for review and processing for stipend payments.
- Work with the TBLS of supported LGAs to ensure complete capturing of Community TB data by the TBLS.
- Perform oversight functions to the CBOs and Community Health Workers (CHWs) on the implementation of Active TB/HIV case findings (ACF) in the selected slums.
- Collect and collate retirements and report of activities (program and financial) implemented from supported CBOs, and forward same to the Program Officer for further processing.
- Summarize the collated data from the CBO report and share this report with the TBLS and STBLCP.
- Conduct any other task as may be assigned.
Requirements
Education:
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree.
- Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Knowledge / Experience:
- 1-2 years’ relevant work experience with development agencies and foundations
- Experience in TB/HIV program is an added advantage.
