Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Consultant to join our restaurant team. The HR Consultant will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support on all human resources matters, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and organizational development.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices within the hospitality or restaurant industry and will help us foster a positive and productive workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and hire qualified candidates.
  • Conduct interviews, assessments, and reference checks.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees, ensuring a smooth integration into the restaurant team.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Mediate and resolve conflicts or disputes between employees and management.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and employee morale.

Performance Management:

  • Develop and implement performance management systems, including setting goals and conducting performance reviews.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers and employees to improve performance.
  • Identify training and development needs and coordinate appropriate programs.

Compliance and Policy Development:

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and other relevant legislation.
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and address any issues promptly.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Assist in the development and administration of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Conduct salary surveys and benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation packages.
  • Provide guidance on employee benefits and handle related inquiries.

Organizational Development:

  • Analyze and improve organizational structures, workflows, and processes.
  • Assist in change management initiatives to support restaurant growth and efficiency.
  • Facilitate team-building activities and employee engagement programs.

HR Administration:

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics for management review.
  • Manage HR budgets and resources effectively.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of HR experience, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • HR certification is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible working hours, including potential evening or weekend work as needed

Salary
N150,000 / month.
