Job Description

  • The company’s Procurement and Tender officer is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of ITTs and RFQs directed to the company and other procurement functions within the organization.

Responsibilities
Procurement Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Sourcing and Selection: Identify potential vendors, conduct market research, and evaluate proposals to select the best suppliers for goods and services required by the organization and Clients.
  • Vendor Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favourable terms, pricing, and service level agreements while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Purchase Requisition Processing: Receive and review purchase requisitions from different departments to understand specific needs and requirements. Coordinate the procurement process and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Financial Analysis: Collaborate with the finance and budgeting team to analyse ITT and RFQ opportunities, putting into consideration cost of execution and profit maximization. As well as identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Contract Management: Maintain accurate records of vendor contracts and agreements. Ensure all contracts are up-to-date, enforceable, and in compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Tender Management Responsibilities:

  • Tender Identification and Opportunity Assessment: Monitor and identify tender opportunities relevant to the organization’s business goals and objectives. Assess the feasibility and strategic fit of potential tenders, considering factors such as scope, requirements, and competition.
  • Tender Preparation and Documentation: Lead the preparation of tender documents, including technical proposals, commercial bids, and supporting documentation. Ensure all tender documents comply with the specifications, formatting guidelines, and submission requirements outlined in the tender documents.
  • Bid Management and Coordination: Act as the focal point for all tender-related communications, both internally and externally. Coordinate the activities of cross-functional teams involved in the tender process, such as finance, and operations. Develop and maintain a tender submission schedule, ensuring timely completion of all tasks and milestones.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Review tender documents thoroughly to identify risks, constraints, and compliance requirements. Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and other interactions to understand client requirements and preferences.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyse the outcomes of tender submissions to identify areas for improvement. Implement best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the tendering process. Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics and activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • A minimum of five (5) years work experience in a similar position in the oil and gas industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
  • SAP and Ariba Proficiency
  • NIPEX 7.5 portal proficiency
  • Strong knowledge of ICC-INCOTERM Regulations
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail.

Salary
N150,000 – N250,000 monthly
