Job Description
- The role will oversee all aspects of human resourcepractices and processes.
- The role will also be responsible for promoting corporate values and shaping a positive culture with the organization.
- The Human Resources Manager will also be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across HR department with a good understanding of people management.
Reporting Line:
- The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director.
Key Area of Responsibilities
- Lead the HR function and be key member of the leadership team and work closely with key stake holders to create and deliver the HR strategy for the business and ensure that the business objectives are met
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy & organizational restructuring.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization
- Driving the company’s HR administration, by reviewing policies as they relate to staff handbook, appraisal, targets and KPIs, employee discipline, and promotions
- Manage the recruitment and selection process
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital
- Nurture a positive working environment to ensure staff engagement
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
- Manage compensation plan and benefits program
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
- Administering benefits programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
Qualifications
- First Degree from a reputable institution with Postgraduate in any HR related discipline.
- 8 – 10 years of HR Generalist experience in building organization strategy, execution and restructuring
- Professional level of membership in Human Resources Practitioner Certification (Compulsory) e.g. CIPM, CIPD, SHRM, SPHRI etc.,
- Expertise in Talent Management & Employee Engagement
- Excellent stakeholder management & business partnering skills
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
- In-depth knowledge of HR Practices, Systems & databases
- Experience of working in Luxury Retail would be an added advantage
Competencies:
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to stay on top of time sensitive projects and urgent requests, requiring a high level of flexibility and ability to execute quickly.
- Experience and skill creating and organizing presentations and reporting for executive audience.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent Interviewing Skills
- Ability to handle highly confidential documents.
- Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently, in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient PC skills to include Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS and ERPsystems).
Salary
N600,000 – N800,000 monthly
