Job Summary

  • Our ideal candidate must be someone with strong leadership skills, and ability to approach business from a creative point of view, and extensive experience within the financial services industry. He will be overseeing the day-to-day compliance obligations of the company.
  • He must have the capacity to relate with the Central Bank of Nigeria and other regulatory authorities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust compliance policies and measures that align with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report on compliance status, implement corrective actions, and communicate significant issues to the management board.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and devise strategies to mitigate compliance risks.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits to assess the effectiveness of the compliance program and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct due diligence on third-party relationships to ensure compliance standards are met.
  • Work closely with the legal department to interpret laws and regulations and provide guidance on compliance matters.
  • Monitor and ensure timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of all statutory and regulatory reports to relevant authorities.
  • Provide training to employees on compliance policies and foster a culture of adherence to ethical standards.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory updates and industry requirements
  • Ensure the AML program is current and updated, including policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Law, Management, or any related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications e.g ICAN, ACCA, etc.
  • Minimum of 7 years of proven work experience in the Risk and Compliance department in a financial Institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a Compliance leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian regulatory requirements, including financial regulations, anti-money laundering laws, and data protection regulations.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.

Our Offer

  • Salary: N700,000 – N800,000 Net per month.
  • 13th Month
