Job Title: Business Development Manager – Power

Job Summary

  • The Business Development Manager for the Power Division is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth within the power sector.
  • This role involves market analysis, client relationship management, proposal development, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve the division’s business objectives.

Responsibilities
Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats in the power sector.

Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.

Client Acquisition:

  • Identify and approach potential clients, building strong relationships and understanding their needs and requirements.

Partnership Management:

  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance market reach and competitive positioning.

Proposal Development:

  • Lead the preparation of proposals, presentations, and bids in response to client requirements and RFPs.

Sales Pipeline Management:

  • Maintain and update the sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of prospects and timely follow-ups.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.

Contract Negotiation:

  • Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts with clients and partners, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Track and analyze key performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management on business development activities and outcomes.

Industry Engagement:

  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote the company’s offerings and expand the professional network.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 – 7 years of experience in business development or sales within the power sector, with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets and building successful client relationships.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Technical Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of the power industry, including trends, technologies, and regulatory environment.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications in business development or project management are advantageous.

Salary
N500,000 – N750,000 monthly.
