Job Title: Accountant

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage and maintain our financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Perform additional accounting duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess Bachelor’s Degrees in Accounting, Finance, or related fields with relevant work experience.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) preferred.
  • Proven working experience as an Accountant.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with creating financial statements.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.

  • Salary: N350,000 – N400,000 Monthly (Negotiable, based on experience and qualifications).
