Arya Nigeria is an official licensee of Arya Women Investment Platform, an international organization that accelerates women-led businesses to become investment ready through entrepreneurship development programs. The Platform also supports prospective investors through capacity building and by providing access to promising entrepreneurs.

Description & Details

  • We are in need of a Coordinator to drive programs design, development and execution while managing related relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • S/he will also handle day-to-day operations of the Platform.

The Opportunity

  • A versatile and results-driven Coordinator. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting all members of the Arya Nigeria Platform.
  • The ideal candidate should be someone who is curious about the connection between the players in the startup ecosystem and passionate about business development.
  • S/he must be an excellent team player, a relationships manager and an efficient problem solver.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting and onboarding the core members of Arya Nigeria (investors, founders/entrepreneurs and trainers) in line with the Platform’s operating guidelines and managing the relationships between them.
  • Developing, planning and implementing programs that will attract prospective members to Arya Nigeria. Identifying suitable businesses to be supported by the Platform.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with other relevant stakeholders to provide adequate support to the Platform members, especially the entrepreneurs in its portfolio.
  • Facilitating access by the entrepreneurs to risk capital.
  • Maintaining engagements with exited members of the Platform such as entrepreneurs that it supported.
  • Managing communications and documenting these properly.
  • Providing progress reports on projects for prompt decision-making.
  • Engaging individuals, businesses, charitable foundations, governmental agencies, etc towards fundraising for implementation of the Platform’s programs and activities.
  • Preparing winning proposals to prospective partners.
  • Developing performance metrics for projects, monitoring and reporting on them.
  • Organizing and participating in networking events related to the Platform’s objectives.
  • Establishing operating guidelines as required and ensuring that approved guidelines are adhered to in the Platform’s day-to-day operations. These include the management of budgeting, procurement, record keeping, finance, corporate correspondence, regulatory compliance, etc.
  • Keeping the Platform’s website up-to-date as well as increasing its online presence and improving its brand awareness using various relevant social media platforms.
  • Any other related tasks assigned by his/her supervisor(s).

Skills & Competencies

  • Cognate work experience
  • An entrepreneurial and innovation mindset
  • Entrepreneurial experience or experience supporting startups
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of business principles, practices and methodologies
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of the startup ecosystem
  • Attention to detail
  • Great team skill.
