Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced State Manager to oversee security operations within our organization. The State Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, assets, and personnel across the designated state. This role requires exceptional leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and a strong understanding of security protocols and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance security measures and mitigate risks within the state.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of security professionals, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee day-to-day security operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop strategies to address potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans to effectively handle crisis situations and security incidents.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, and law enforcement agencies to coordinate security efforts and information sharing.
- Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement security technologies and systems to enhance monitoring, surveillance, and access control.
- Budget Management: Manage the security budget for the state, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective solutions.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present regular reports on security activities, incidents, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, training enhancements, and best practices in security operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field. Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of at least 2 years of experience in security management, with a proven track record of leadership and achievement.
- Certification in security management (e.g., CPP, PSP) is highly desirable. ( optional)
- Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and security management software.
- Ability to ride an official bike
- Residents on Island will be preferable.
