Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to analyze and forecast company performance.
  • Provide insightful analysis of financial results, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with team to develop and manage annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (remittances, audit etc) and accounting standards.
  • Monitor and analyze financial metrics to identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Manage cash flow effectively, optimizing working capital and liquidity.
  • Implement strategies to enhance cash flow forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assess and recommend improvements to treasury processes.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess financial risks, proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Stay informed about market trends and industry developments to anticipate potential risks.
  • Collaborate with other departments to implement risk management policies and procedures.

Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and the organization, contributing to key business decisions.
  • Evaluate and recommend investment opportunities and capital allocation strategies.
  • Collaborate with leadership to drive financial discipline and foster a culture of financial responsibility.
  • Manage and monitor department activities, metrics, KPI tracking, and reports.
  • Perform all necessary financial management duties as required.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, professional certification (e.g., ICAN, AAT, CPA, CFA) is required. MBA is highly desirable.
  • 7 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting roles. At least 4years experience in financial management roles.
  • Exceptional proficiency in financial modelling, analysis, and reporting.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
