Job Title: Learning and Development Officer

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with external training providers, as required
- Implement learning technologies and tools to enhance training effectiveness
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as necessary
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate and up-to-date
- Manage all aspects of training projects, including project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in technical training and development, and incorporate this knowledge into the design and delivery of training programs.
- Manage all aspects of training projects, including project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Develop customized technical training programs for external clients, using a variety of delivery methods including in-person, virtual, and blended learning.
- Provide recommendations to management for additional improvement
Requirements
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, or any other business related course
- Instructional and/or learning design as well as certification in Facilitation, Coaching, training or leadership programs is an added advantage.
Skills and Experience:
- Proactive, flexible, confident, professional, and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn and understand software, hardware, networking, and database concepts
- Ability to organize and run new training plans and initiatives
- Report writing and data presentation
- Excellent Project Management Skills
- Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects
- Experience in designing technical course content
- Broad exposure to instructional strategies for technical skills, soft skills, classroom, social, MOOCs, micro learning, and virtual learning
- Working knowledge in MS Office (especially PowerPoint)
- Sound time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Professional demeanor with solid verbal and interpersonal skills
- Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and with a wide variety of people in an environment of rapidly changing deadlines and priorities
- 1- 2 years of experience in similar role.
