Job Description
- As a Machine Learning Engineer with LinguaSpan, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and deploying machine learning models and systems.
- You will oversee all stages of the ML development process, from data collection and preprocessing to model training and evaluation.
- You will manage the flow of data within the application to make data-driven decisions for language conversion.
Key Responsibilities
ML Model Development:
- Design, build, and deploy machine learning models and systems.
- Oversee the entire ML development process, including data collection, preprocessing, model training, and evaluation.
- Manage data flow within the application to ensure accurate and effective language conversion.
Natural Language Processing (NLP):
- Build and train natural language processing (NLP) models using AI and machine learning techniques.
- Collaborate with language specialists and academic institutions to access and maintain diverse and representative language databases.
Bias Mitigation:
- Implement measures to detect and mitigate bias in the NLP model, ensuring equitable access and results.
Model Deployment & Management:
- Deploy and manage the NLP model, ensuring it remains responsive and accurate.
- Ensure the model’s performance and accuracy are maintained over time.
Data Privacy & Ethics:
- Ensure that data handling complies with privacy regulations and ethical standards, particularly when dealing with language data.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Undertake any special assignments or tasks assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in machine learning and natural language processing.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
- Experience with ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Knowledge of data preprocessing techniques and tools.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and ethical standards in data handling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with diverse language databases.
- Background in linguistic studies or collaboration with academic institutions.
- Knowledge of bias detection and mitigation techniques in machine learning.
